uts is celebrating one month of existence (yay!!)

i'm here to show you some MORE stuff!! about lore!!

1. Ezekiel's inspiration

actually to be honest my first thought when i designed ezekiel's armor was like......... this guy:

"...Steiner from Final Fantasy 9?..." YEAH YEAH I KNOW--

i knew i wanted to make a himbo and he was like. the perfect inspiration. (i love ff9 ngl

i simplified it after a while until it became what we see today but it's nice to remember this ((i love u steiner xoxo

2. Early comics

yeah you read it right i made small comics of uts... most of it was about lore and stuff that happened BEFORE the game to build the personalities and some relationships. so i'll just describe some of them:

- Iris and Leon actually did get along before uts. They both didn't have a great friendship since Iris was often stuck in King Saruva plans but they did talk sometimes. In their comic Leon was quite worried because the jester's eyes were "like winter" - cold, dark, lonely - and asked if they ever got tired of faking their smile. They admit that it's purely because King Saruva would probably expell them if they stopped doing their job, but Leon makes them promisethat they won't fake a smile around him, at least. That's also when Leon discovers Iris' true name.

- Ezekiel's family has been serving Lunnest's monarchy for quite some time. For that reason, he's been Dulari's bodyguard since he was 14. In this comic he is presented to her for the first time. She extends her hand for him to kiss it, but instead he thinks it is a handshake so he does that. His fater slaps him and tells him that he's supposed to KISS instead of SHAKE her hand. Ezekiel goes "OHHhhh!! You should have told me sooner!" and proceeds to kiss Dulari's CHEEK. Throwing everyone into TURMOIL /LMAO

- Also there's another comic of Ezekiel, but a more serious one. When his father dies (Ez was 18) and he tries to mourn him, everyone tells him to "toughen up" since he's a bodyguard so he hides in the garden to cry alone. Dulari finds him there and when he tries to defend himself because he believes that he's being weak because he's crying she says that it's quite the opposite. King Karkarus once said to her that "Tears are like storms. Lucky is the sailor who doesn't get them, but stronger is the sailor who knows how to pass through them." so if you're crying it means you're surviving a storm and thats pretty much when he decided that he would do anything in his power to protect her.  CHEESY, I KNOW--

3. Fun lil facts~

OKAY OKAY SO just punctual facts for your enjoyment.

Characters MBTI/signs:

Dulari: INFJ/libra

Leon: INFJ/aquarius

Ez: ESFP/leo

Iris: ISTJ/capricorn

(All of them are in the assexual spectrum!! (just like me :D) (Iris is also arromantic.)

SOME HEADCANNONS

Dulari:

- She's terrible with gardening, but often tries to help her servants with tendering the garden because she loves it very much.

- She loves plushies but thinks it's too old to own one. (she's adorable..................

Leon:

- He is a very organized fellow, but he can't help losing things. The only things he never lost IN HIS LIFE was his mother's talisman and the box where he keeps all Dulari's letters.

- Since he's not the one inheriting the kingdom, he tries to help everyone who doesn't get help from his brother (the new king). In my head, Leon's brother is self-centered and rude, so he often refuses to help people when they don't have something to offer him in return. Leon is the one who reaches out to them to help. He doesn't know it, but he's secretly adored by everyone in Constellax.

- Queen Vedanshi adores him. She loves his compassion and really enjoys to drink tea and talk about things.

Ezekiel:

- Ezekiel has friends in EVERY kingdom. He often travels to go to trainings and knight championships and ends up making a lot of friends there. His mailbox is always full of stuff.

- His mother is alive and well!!! She lives not far from the castle and goes by selling eggs from her small chicken farm. Ez also has 5 smaller siblings (one of them is briefly mentioned in his route).

- King Karkarus adores him. They often talk about travels and sometimes they even gossip about others, sharing a drink or two.

Iris:

- They take their job VERY seriously, always trying to get better at it. For this reason, they are often requested by other kings and queens to entertain them, for at least one day. Sometimes, Saruva lets them go, but not for long.

- They like birds! Iris has at least two parakeets back in Constellax.
